hello, after a windows update i opened firefox and it started like a new install, i lost bookmarks and plugins and passwords. I got my profile folder (modification date before win update) thinking all my information is there. Can restore it? or at least... getting my bookmarks back?

Hi,

You can try to overwrite these files from the backup into the current Firefox Profile Folder after exiting Firefox: places.sqlite for bookmarks + history, bookmarksbackup folder for just the dated bookmarks Restore feature via Bookmarks (Alt + B) > Show All Bookmarks > Import and Backup, key3.db + siqnons.sqlite for the saved passwords etc. The installed plugins are automatically detected by Firefox and are shown in Tools (Alt + T) > Add-ons > Plugins.

thank you for replaying

I found the bookmarks file as a .json, couldn´t find the places.sqlite but still got them. i opened and checked the file and all my bookmarks appeared there. I replaced the other files for my passwords and plugins and it worked real nice. Thanks a lot for your help

You are welcome :)
