how do I make Firefox my default browser? Preferences/General does not show option to make Firefox the default.

Help says to open preferences/General and choose "make Firefox my default browser." But there is no such option on that page.

I can see it. See this article: System Defaults

What do you see at that location?

You need to be in the Advanced menu incidentally.
