Can't open Firefox 3.6.12 on Mac OS X 10.6.5 even when I close Chrome and Safari, which are also installed on the Mac.

When I right click the Firefox icon or left click the icon and then right click the menu option, Open, the icon bounces and nothing else happens. What's going on? Thanks.
