I have a new computer and would like to copy over my bookmarks and setting to the new machine

I would like to copy all my bookmarks and settings from an existing computer to a new system. I have several years of history and bookmarks that I would rather copy than create new ones on the new computer.

The user data is store in the profile folder. You can copy the data manually by copying the contents of the profile folder, for details see Profile backup - MozillaZine Knowledge Base or Manually back up and restore Firefox profile data.

There are some add-ons and utilities that can make this process easier. The first one is the FEBE add-on which can be used to copy a profile. Another option is the free MozBackup utility.
