deleted webpages still show on my front page

I just deleted a part of my history, but when I opened a new tab it was suggested in the "jump back in" section, despite having been deleted and the browser being closed and re-opened. It's gone from my history, so why does firefox remember that I visited it? That's a big violation of privacy.

I think this may be because the “Jump back in” section is not the same thing as your browsing history.

Deleting the page from history should remove it from your history list, but Firefox may still have a separate entry used for the new-tab suggestions. If that is what is happening, it looks more like a stale suggestion/cache than Firefox keeping the page in your history.

I would try clearing the browsing data and then close and reopen Firefox. If the deleted page still appears after that, it could be a bug in the current Android version.
