email address and contact list has been hacked.
My default email address ([redacted-1]@btinternet.com) has been hacked and access to my contact list gained. Many contacts receiving emails purporting to be from me.. I have changed my default address to another one ([redacted-2]@gmail.com). What do you suggest I do or should I report it to another organisation? Thanks, Peter Russell

Here are BT's recommendations. Sounds like you have already done some of them...

Otherwise, there's not much you can do except to notify your contacts about your email switch to Gmail and that messages that appear to come from old address may not be trustworthy.
If your contact list was stolen, you can expect that it will be sold to other spammers who will use it for their spam campaigns. It may go on for a long time.
Thanks very much for your prompt reply. I have notified all my contacts what they might expect and asked them to use my alternative email address. Thank you again, Peter Russell
In addition to the above, posting your email address to a public forum is not a good idea.
