I have just reinstalled T/B (3-4 times now). Scanned barcode from notebook. Installed ok. This mobile T/B DOES NOT give me any option to add folders. Only: inbox, outbox, drafts, sent, deleted. I at least want (1) extra folder to store messages. How do I achieve this? Thanks My laptop T/B works well (on Ubuntu)

Thunderbird for Android doesn't have the functionality to create folders. As a workaround, you can create any desired folders using your providers webmail.

If your TBA account is using Imap, new folders will be displayed after refreshing the folder list. To do this ...

  1. Open the account side bar
  2. Tap your account to show Inbox, outbox etc.
  3. Tap manage folders (bottom of list).
  4. Tap 3dot menu (top right of screen).
  5. Tap refresh folder list.

The functionality to create folders within the app has been requested by the community on Mozilla connect and is open to votes. Please consider adding your support.

Ideas with high vote counts have a greater chance of being prioritised for development.

Thanks I did see this solution before and tried it to no avail. Tried again specifically to you suggestion, still no go. I am NOW sure the problem lies with my software(s). I'm using Nordvpn which I had to adjust just to get emails. Also my email provider is supposed to be blocking spam etc which it doesn't. I will troubleshoot these more closely. If I find a solution to my specific problem, I'll post it, to help others. Thanks again
