Chromebook os.... not a clue, but since it's Linux can you do this? Download, unzip, and run firefox-bin from the folder. https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/#product-desktop-release

You potentially have two options depending on your hardware and Chrom,e OS version. You can install the Android Firefox version or use the Linux Firefox version as there are a few ways to install that.
