So either you have to update to a current distro version or use the Linux Firefox tarballs from Mozilla to use the current versions of Firefox. The tarball version gets internal updates from Mozilla just like the macOS and Windows versions from Mozilla. Just have to make sure the Firefox folder has read/write permissions for the user.
