This problem only occurs on some emails, not all. The normal behavior to add a new email person to my address book was to right click on the email address in the email header and select "Add to Address Book". The email is added to the address book. After I add the contact, I can then right-click again and select EDIT contact. Even though the contact is added correctly, Thunderbird doesnt seem to be aware that it happened. Even if I restart the software. So if I right-click on the contact, the Add Contact choice is still there and there is no EDIT contact choice.

Cant figure out what is wrong.

I have version 140.2.1 and I don't have that problem.

Anyway you can still edit the contact by going to Address Book and click on any selected contact to edit it.
