there has to be a way for a lay person not a tech to solve this .I have Norton antivirus installed but i tried Avast Avg nd a few others and all said mnaged by ordination in Firefox
Look for a Norton option to enable/disable https or ssl scanning > disable it.
If you don't find it or you do but don't want to disable it, just get rid of Norton and just use Defender. It's now as good or better than any other bloatware/advertisement-ridden third party product.
i did disable Norton but it appears that any antivirus besides windows defender will do this. i have tried several besides Norton why does it have to do this ? Why does any page have to be managed by an organization and which orginazation?
'managed by an organization' is kind of a misnomer. In fact there's a bug for it. It only means that in your case, some entity other than Firefox has installed their own certificates to analyze https traffic. This article explains it, and why it's actually not a good thing. Just use Defender :-)
ok so if i want Norton back or any other antivirus i saw what you posted so how do i remove it i went to Norton settings and never saw the htttp. am not really sure i totally understand the entire thing you sent. would it not be easier for Foxfire to fix the issue so we can run any antivirus
even if it is a paid or not paid version not sure i know how to do it in Norton which i still have paid for but will not use because i do not know how to remove what the atrticle you sent me says
i uninstalled Norton i can install t again see i have it until2027 so i am losing my coverage so please tell me how to do it
Did the 'managed by your organization' thing go away after you uninstalled Norton?
Defender should be active now that Norton is gone, unless you also have some other antivirus/antimalware active. To check, click the Start/Home button, type the word virus, and press Enter. At the top, you should see 'Current threats/No current threats'. A bit further down you should see 'Virus & threat protection settings/No action needed'.
