TB no longer downloads emails unless on startup and then only partially and already downloaded emails

Since the last TB ESR update to 128.8 I no longer can download emails properly. It does kick of email download when starting the app, but gets stuck when loading emails from a GMX account. It also does not delete emails from the server as configured to do, so next app start it downloads the same emails again.

Clicking the Get Messages button does nothing nor does clicking on any commands in the context menu of the Get Messages button. There is no status showing in the status bar at the bottom nor do I get an error. I tried it in troubleshooting mode with everything disabled and it still does not work.

I did clear startup cache, compacted mailboxes, and used web mail portals to lower the number of emails to download (I deleted all those emails I don't want anyway).

Used to work reliably well before update and also when scheduled. Troubleshooting Info is below.

Since the last TB ESR update to 128.8 I no longer can download emails properly. It does kick of email download when starting the app, but gets stuck when loading emails from a GMX account. It also does not delete emails from the server as configured to do, so next app start it downloads the same emails again. Clicking the Get Messages button does nothing nor does clicking on any commands in the context menu of the Get Messages button. There is no status showing in the status bar at the bottom nor do I get an error. I tried it in troubleshooting mode with everything disabled and it still does not work. I did clear startup cache, compacted mailboxes, and used web mail portals to lower the number of emails to download (I deleted all those emails I don't want anyway).
