Unwanted previous search or command on screen in seperate box

when I open a new Firefox screen there are a few little boxes that appear on the screen apparently from previous commands or web pages, how do I set Firefox so these do not appear to begin with even though I can run "clear recent history" and they disappear?

On the new screen click the gear wheel in the top right corner and you can switch the junk off.
