unable to view pdf files when opened through a link within webpage

When trying to open a PDF file through a link provided in a webpage, the browser throws an error saying "unable to open ABC.pdf".

I have installed google pdf viewer and also the Google drive feature is enabled.

But even then I'm facing this problem.

If anyone can provide a solution, I'd be thankful.
