Windows10-Home machine. Firefox working fine for some time. I minimised the window while working on something else. Now Firefox won't maximise, just sits on the toolbar with minimised window. Tried the

- "maximise" right click, restore right click

- uninstalled and reinstalled, no difference

- found some earlier windows solutions to "rename %APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles" xulstore.json - no difference

I'm at wit's end and about to go install Chrome if I can't fix this

Try this; Start Firefox. You say the window does not show up? Right-click on the Firefox icon and select Open In New Window. Close the first window. Wait a few moments, Then close Firefox. Sometimes this works.
