Hi, I am looking for an add-on or anything that would help me to see which kind of attached files is going with the emails I receive and to sort them by type.

The best for me would be to a have a different icon for each type of files, and having only one when they are different types of attached files in the same email.

My objective is to be able for example to sort all emails containing at least one Excel file for example.

Even better would to be able to add a filter for each type of attached file in order to sort those emails automatically.

Could you help me to find a way to do this ? Pleaaaaase...

This add-on provides a column that shows the number and type of attachments: http://attachmentcount.mozdev.org/

I don't think it's possible to filter by attachment type, but you can search by attachment type and perform simple operations such as sort, open etc.: ATTACHMENT SEARCH TAB.
