Flash and FireFox. What's going wrong?

All of a sudden lately flash plugin won't load, or so says the error message. I have ver. 11.3.300.268. I click update, and it takes me to the plugin update page which says I have the current ver. I know there's a newer ver.. How do I get it?

Hello,

First you have two version of the Adobe Shockwave for Director Netscape, the difference is the version:

  • Adobe Shockwave for Director Netscape plug-in, version 12.0.7.148
  • Adobe Shockwave for Director Netscape plug-in, version 11.6.6.636

I can see in your system details that you already have the current Flash Player version, try go to your Control Painel and see if there is something wrong.

Also you can try unistall it and reinstall after.

You're right, I see that. Uninstall is no longer an option in FF. I have ask to activate, never activate. Only options I get.

Thanks Victor, I've just chose "never activate". Interestingly enough, both 12 plugin, and active x are in the uninstall in control panel, but neither ver. of 11 is there. 

Hopefully just never activate will work.

Thanks for your help, hopefully this will solve my problem.
