will not bring up the send file mail box

when I go to file and hit the email link, all of a sudden it has stopped bringing up the email program and attach the file to be sent. Help please, look like a link is not working.

You can check the network.protocol-handler.external.mailto prefs on the about:config page.
If network.protocol-handler.external.mailto prefs are user set (bold) then right-click and Reset them to the default value.
