Please note that the developer and a user have rightly pointed out that if there are [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/Using%20extensions%20with%20Firefox add-ons/extensions] or a [http://kb.mozillazine.org/User.js_file user.js] file that reverts/overrides the changes you would have to remove those first. Additionally if there are external Windows silent runners (legitimate or otherwise) on the PC that makes changes to Firefox configuration, you would have to disable the settings in the particular program, or remove it via the Windows '''Control Panel''' > '''Programs and Features''', or use other methods to permanently eliminate it before using SearchReset.
