BBC webpage loads without problems, but when clicking on link to play video, screen remains black. For any videos they post in their news site. Do not have any problems with playing videos in other sites, commercial or news.

Thank you fancylive and dumdidadida. Problem solved. Flash 11 seems to be the solution. I went through Mozilla Update page of plug ins and add ons, and I updated all that was not. Some Java 32 and 64 bit versions (don't know if they are related or not) that seem to have skipped all my automatic downloads.

Hi,

There are some compatibility issues between the latest Flash player and some Firefox add-ons or settings. Could you see whether anything in this article helps: Flash 11.3 doesn't load video in Firefox.

You might also consider disabling the new protected mode in Flash 11.3, since that feature is currently being debugged. See this support article from Adobe under the heading "Last Resort": Adobe Forums: How do I troubleshoot Flash Player's protected mode for Firefox?

You can also try IE Tab + or IE Tab to watch problematic Flash inside Firefox.

you need to install flash player & silver light....

Thank you. Tried both, again. The Real Player Installed solution worked perfectly in the past, but not this time. Downgrading Flash 11 to 10, didn't do anything either. Does BBCNews have a bug? I don't have any problem with NBCNews.
