I have downloaded through Firefox; windows media player decoder plugin and when I go to play dvd, windows media player tell me my computer does not have decoder installed.

I have downloaded through you windows media player decoder plugin and when I go to watch a dvd on my computer (I have the dvd) windows media comes up and tells me there is no decoder installed on my computer......I also cannot watch videos on utube, etc. in the program list your plug in is listed as installed.

Please see this page for a list of decoders that you could use for playing DVD's http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows/downloads/windows-media-player/plug-ins .

It sounds to me that the problem here is playing a DVD with Windows Media Player. This isn't the best place to ask for help about this issue.

Funny....Windows media player is telling me that the player is not recognizing the plugin for a decoder that is necessary to play or watch videos/movies.

What decoder is it telling you needs to be installed?

any decoder that is compatible with windows player. It list several as a suggestion....Firefox was listed as a plugin for windows player.

Like I have said....have done that and will go back there....I thought the plug in with firefox would solve the problem....Thanks....
