I can't uninstall inbox, even when I uninstall and reinstall firefox. The only solution that works so far is to get rid of firefox and use another search engine. I'll reinstall foxfire as soon as it solves the problem of uninstalling inbox.
Why is it impossible to uninstall the very useless INBox add on? The only thing that works is permanently uninstalling firefox and using a different search engine, which I strongly recommend until the IT people at firefox can figure out a solution.

Inbox probably installed on your computer along with some other software, usually free software, that you installed. Always look for any opportunity to "opt-out" of installing the "extras" when installing any software, especially free software.
For a case that was successful in un-installing Inbox on a Mac, see: http://www.justanswer.com/mac-computers/54cb5-trying-inbox-com-uninstalled-firefox-mac.html
I want to uninstall foxfire How do I get it out? HELP!
Inbox is a programme which can be deleted simply by going to “Programmes and Features” at control panel. However, it is likely that it will have made its self the home page. At IE click on tools. Select Internet Option,
In homepage click Use blank page (or type-in your desired URL) > apply > Ok
For Firefox go to Tools > Options > in MAIN tab select SHOW a Blank Page at start up type-in your desired URL
I have got rid of it, but it took me a little while to get my Google search panel back. I have a feeling that it came in with Firefox but I can't be sure. However, I am very doubtful about downloading any Firefox updates.
If the Home page was changed after some program installation then do the following.
Go to inbox.com Toolbar settings
Go to General settings
Click Advanced settings.
uncheck "Guard my inbox.com homepage from changing"
