I think I installed a virus by mistake. I don't know where it came from. But last time I had my computer on, earlier today, I got a popup that said do I want to update firefox. I said yes, but later when I closed firefox I saw that the popup was still running, suspiciously. I had also noticed that some pages took a long time to load when I had to log in, such as gmail and especially facebook. Now I am looking under my firefox advanced settings and clicked update history, and it says no updates so far. So what did I install??? I am trying to research this question but don't know how to find the answer? I actually reformatted my computer just a month ago and am freaking out because I don't want to go through it again. Any help or direction would be very appreciated.

Also when I look under advanced > update, I see that I have "automatically check for updates" selected, and also "automatically download and install update". So should it have not asked me if it was a real update?

I had a similar problem, and in frustration deleted Firefox, and then re-installed it. I still had the same slow loading or NO loading problems with certain sites. The update history will show no updates, as we downloaded a new version and there are no updates yet. It's pretty obvious to me that this latest update has some serious bugs in it that need to be addressed. In the meantime, I'm using Google Chrome with good results and no problems on the sites I had problems with since the Firefox update.

Thank you CAGlaser... I am wondering if anything has changed, I just deleted Firefox and reinstalled it. But my plugins are still here.

Is the "Default Plugin 2.0 / Gecko default plugin" ok? The others look like familiar things. I also don't remember installing "iphotophotocast"
