Someone else will probably give the correct answer, but I would comment that as a UK user many of firefox's features use google, and although it is not specified as google uk that is what is apparently used. In the [[Search bar]] google is one of the default search engines, probably the one selected by default, it does use google .uk . I am guessing that google geo locates you using the IP Address and by defaults uses an appropriate local google.
