The desktop Firefox for Windows, Linux and macOS is free to download and use from https://www.firefox.com/download/all/desktop-release/ as macOS would be https://www.firefox.com/download/all/desktop-release/osx/

There is no charge to install and use desktop Firefox so I wonder where you paid $7.99 ?
