If the community is "here to help" then why make it so difficult to ask for help?

At this point, I've been fighting this website for, oh, about 10 minutes. And I still am not at the point where I can ask a simple question on the message board.

I mean, really, why does Mozilla seem to want to distance itself for the users who have donate to it?
