When I do a search, then click on one result, it loads the result website in the same tab; but the Back arrow <- in the menu bar is grayed out, so I can't go back to the search that I did to select other results. Mac Monterey 12.7.2, Firefox 12.0.1 , searching with DuckDuckGo - but it also happens when I search with Google.

This will happen if the site makes the link open in a new tab. It can also happen with extensions like Multi-Account Containers when a link needs to be opened in a specific container.

Hi, No, this is not when the site makes the link open in a new tab. It happens when the site makes the link open in the same tab that I did the search in. No new tab. When that happens, when the link opens in the same tab, the Back arrow is grayed out and I cannot go Back to look at other results of my search. If the site makes the link open in a new tab, the original tab would and does still have the original search results. Do you want me to send a set of screen shots?

Does it still happen in Troubleshoot Mode?

And now it is working - the Back arrow is black and working. I could have sworn .... was there an update? I did do a backup and shutdown/start since then. Anyway, I apologize for bothering you. It's ok now.
