Unable to retrieve certain email from mail server.
I've encounter problem whereby certain emails at my mail server are not able to retrieve to Thunderbird and get stuck. Thunderbird keeps downloading then stop. I've to login to my webmail and delete the email only the rest of the email will come in. This happened to several users, but no problem if I'm using Outlook. I've tested to downgrade Thunderbird to lower version but still no luck.

Using an anti virus to scan your mail? if so turn off the mail scanner and generally your mail will download. Most failures where a bad email stops further download are actually problems with anti virus scanners.
