Hi najith.kalairuban, I think you may need to download/save the images in order to open them in an external application. (There is a risk that changing how all JPEGs are handled may prevent images from loading into pages normally.)

You either can do that from the new tab with just the image, or use the right-click context menu on the link to "Save Link As."

Thank you for your answer but this is not the answer to my question. I know you can do "by Save the link as" but I would like Firefox to open it on paint by default automatically. I know that there is some code to modify and that we have to set the option on Firefox setting in Application section but I don't know how.

Usually when you click on a picture on a web page you are actually clicking on a link. It may open a new webpage, or just display a different view of the image.

Images on a web page are usually displayed within the browser.
Paint cannot open webpages, it just displays images.

You may be able to 'View image' in a separate window, but to capture the image and save it in a folder requires you to copy and paste or save as... into some image program that you have already installed on your computer, programs like 'Paint' or 'Irfanview', among others.

That is not possible for images as Firefox can handle images and opens them by default in a tab or renders them in the web page. You will have to right-click an image and save this image and select the application to handle this file. An automatic action is bound to a specific MIME type (content-type as send by the server) and there are image formats other than JPG.
