I click on the star to bookmark the Gators Softball twitter, facebook, and fall schedules and nothing at all happens. Usually a box drops down if you want to edit what to call the bookmark. But nothing at all happens now. What is going on? How can I fix this? Help! It used to work, even just last week I bookmarked something I think.

Actually, I restarted my computer and it all works now. I don't know what had happened but I guess just a glitch in the software. They may want to note that.

When you click the star in the address bar to bookmark something, does it change colour? If you click it again does it open the bookmark editor window?

I'm think that maybe you just disabled the bookmark editor popup for new bookmarks. If you search for the browser.bookmarks.editDialog.showForNewBookmarks in the Configuration Editor for Firefox (about:config), does it have a value of false? If it does, try changing it to true.

If that doesn't work, you may want to review the Can't add, change or save bookmarks - How to fix page.

Hope this helps.

In that case, Windows may have removed Firefox's access to the bookmarks file then, for whatever reason.

Nevertheless, glad you got it working!
