I've always preferred adding web page shortcuts on the home screen in Android rather than using bookmarks when surfing. I recently had to uninstall and then reinstall Firefox Focus on my Asus Zenfone 3 Android device. And all web shortcuts have gone now! See I'm not an expert on Android OS. As a comparison, if you uninstall a browser in Windows OS, the urls on the desktop still remain, regardless of the default browser. Firefox Focus has apparently treated the shortcuts as its integral components and deleted them along during the uninstallation process. Now, my question is, is it possible to restore those web shortcuts? I'd appreciate some help, possibly without need for utilizing some paid software.

Hi Glenn

I am sorry, but it is not possible to recover those shortcuts.

Frankly I was not indeed hoping for an affirmative reply. Probably there could be some unorthodox solutions through rooting, but I don't think the shortcuts are worth the risks such methods would create. Thanks anyway, Seburo.

No problem, sorry it is not better news but this issue that is more a characteristic of the Android platform than it is linked to Firefox Focus for Android.
