just upgraded to release 57. When I start it, an item opens in the task bar for it but nothing displays on main screen. If I hover over the task bar item, it shows a thumbnail for the window and if I hover over the thumbnail the view on the screen is a faint outline of the window with no detail. Using windows 10, Radeon R9 380. driver 17.7.2

I have got R57 to display on the screen. First started R57 in safe mode by using the trick I read of holding the shift key when double clicking the desktop icon. It rendered fine on the screen in safe mode. Extensions or hardware acceleration??? I still had an older release of firefox (32 bit) in my program files (x86) directory and started that up. In the options I turned off hardware acceleration. Closed the old version and started R57 and it worked.

Does this indicate a Radeon driver bug or a firefox bug?

I just upgraded Radeon driver to 17.11.2 First went to firefox performance settings and checked "use hardware acceleration" (had unchecked "use recommended performance settings" and unchecked "use hardware acceleration" as my original workaround) and firefox R57 window rendered on the screen without a problem. Then went back to "use recommended performance settings" and it is working fine.
