When attempting to open OWA exchange, I get the following:

Your connection is not secure The website tried to negotiate an inadequate level of security. exchange.(insert my company here).com uses security technology that is outdated and vulnerable to attack. An attacker could easily reveal information which you thought to be safe. The website administrator will need to fix the server first before you can visit the site. Error code: NS_ERROR_NET_INADEQUATE_SECURITY

I have googled the problem and there are some very complex answers out there. I am a basic computer person, and most of what they say is way over my head. Is there a simple way to fix this so that I can access my email through firefox instead of having to use IE or Edge?

Firefox 53.0.3 (32 bit) Windows 10 Pro 64 bit

You can check the server via this website:

If you need to test your browser:

Checking the server gives me a whole bunch of information. Is there something specific that I am looking for? Again, I am a simple user and not a computer whiz so I apologize.

The server may try to use a cipher suit that is black listed in Firefox.

Try to set this pref to false on the about:config page.

  • security.ssl3.ecdhe_rsa_aes_128_gcm_sha256 = false

You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar. You can accept the warning and click "I'll be careful" to continue.
