Windows Family is blocking Firefox, Microsoft said to contact Mozilla support
Yesterday, I contacted Microsoft for support with my Windows Family issue, because I wasn't in a family, and had a standard Microsoft account. But for some reason I couldn't use firefox. After a day I got a message back from the Microsoft support, and they answered:
"This is a follow up email for your contact, May 14th 2017 GMT, which concerns about issues accessing Firefox and other apps due to permissions.
I have coordinated with my higher level of support and was advised to contact Firefox support for further assistance as we did not see any issues on the account upon reviewing.
I am glad I was able to assist you to the best of my ability. Should you still encounter any issues, please don’t hesitate to reply to this email. I’ll be looking forward to your response. It is very important to us. Or you may also contact us back and provide the case number as reference to our discussion."
So, this happened: I started yesterday morning my PC, and like always, I start Firefox. but then I got a message from Microsoft family, with the following: "Ask for permission. You'll need to ask an adult in your family if you can use: Firefox.", and there was 1 button I can press, that was "Ask by email", but when I pressed it, I got the following error code: "Something went wrong. We're working on it - try again in a little bit." (trace ID: Gmog6QkoQ0Smuv+B.5.1).
Reinstalling the program didn't work.

Hi !
Just in case you have Windows Family Features turned on :
See : https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/10555/microsoft-account-how-to-turn-off-family-features
The problem is, there is no way to turn it off, because there are no accounts signed to the Family thing..
You really need to contact Microsoft again.
