I have lost the icons for bookmarks, download, etc.

I have refreshed Firefox to no avail. I have also lost the "close tab" icon in the right corner of the tab and the forward/back icons.

Hi, if you can, open the 3-bar menu > Customize, and try clicking on Restore Defaults. More - https://support.mozilla.org/t5/Customize-controls-options-and/Customize-Firefox-controls-buttons-and-toolbars/ta-p/2715

If that doesn't work, try starting in Safe Mode by holding down Shift when you start Firefox. More - https://support.mozilla.org/t5/Procedures-to-diagnose-and-fix/Troubleshoot-Firefox-issues-using-Safe-Mode/ta-p/1687
