Incoming mail is loading to "trash" instead of "in-box" - how to fix?

My computer was I think hacked a week or so ago. I have changed password, and am receiving incoming mail, but I have noticed my incoming mail is being directed straight to "trash" and not to "in-box". By what process can I redirect it correctly? Please advise
