Firefox will update then go back to previous version in couple of days.
I'm using firefox 47.0 on my windows xp sp3 OS. I have responded to prompt to update to firefox 47.2 or 47.0.2 several times and it downloads and installs, but it reverts back to 47.0 in 1 or 2 days. Why isn't it staying updated and continuing to go to further versions?

Reset your current profile and apply the update. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/reset-firefox-to-fix-most-problems
