I have downloaded Firefox but the icon disappeared when I logged off.

Right after I downloaded the program, I had the round icon on the bar at the bottom of my screen. When I logged off and went back on later the icon was gone. I don't know how to get into the Firefox browser without the icon. Thanks!

Do you still have the Firefox program folder with the Firefox.exe program file?

  • (32 bit Windows) "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\"
  • (64 bit Windows) "C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\"

If that is the case then you can create a new desktop icon via the right-click context menu:

  • Send to > Desktop
