Malicious interferrence from site claiming to be Mozilla Firefox.

more options

My browser use is interrupted by a message telling me to download a patch which is an *.exe file. The interfering site claims to be Mozilla. Its address is:

https://aetacboxofficeguru.net/6551124699396/19ab4b5c9e27142bbe42fae0dd55abd9.html

I have to close the webpage to be rid of it. Then I re-open the page I attended before the interruption.

How can I block this interference?

Thanks for reporting this. You may find using an adblocker such as ublock origin stops or reduces the frequency of these fake updates

We may sometimes add to the confusion because of hotfixes, but Mozilla does not use orange screens with .exe or .js files

Really they are using firefox-patch.exe again? As firefox-patch.js has been used by these scammers since July 11.
