Need to download on new computer, will I loose all my Firefox toolbar links?

I've used Firefox for years. My toolbar is a work of art with all the links I have. I migrated it from my old computer to this one and fine-tuned it.

In about 30 minutes a tech from HP will take my current new computer back to factory image. I wanted to make a recovery flashdrive and they caused a fluke, so they're gonna' fix it. BUT my toolbar, my precious toolbar. Can it be saved somehow?

Make a backup copy of your entire profile folder on some external media, far away from the technician's reach. This article has suggestions on how to do that: Manually back up and restore Firefox profile data.

Just to avoid confusion, the profile folder with all your data is under this path (you can copy/paste this into the charms bar search box or the address bar of a Windows Explorer window):

%APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox

That expands to show a hidden folder:

C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox

There is a similar looking path under Local instead of Roaming, but the Local folder is just cache and unimportant items, you definitely want the one under Roaming.
