The [[Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings|Refresh]] feature tries to improve Firefox by making adjustments to the Firefox [[Profiles - Where Firefox stores your bookmarks, passwords and other user data|Profile]] . It also tries to put the old profile on the Desktop where you can find it in case it is needed again. Obviously something went wrong with this. Try to create a new additional profile by using the Profile manger. Give it a suitable name such as ''"New-June-2015"'' If that fails you need to look for and rename the file ''profiles.ini'' that will force creating a new profile. (The profiles may be harder to tell apart they will likely now have similar names with some leading apparently random characters followed by ''default''.)
