When I try and go to this site using Firefox 38.0.1 my window just closes down.

I've had to reinstall version 36.0.4 to access this website.

Any ideas why?

Try to clear the cache and remove cookies only from websites that cause problems.

"Clear the Cache":

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > "Use custom settings for history" > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

You can set the plugins to "Ask to Activate" on the "Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Plugins" page.
