I'm having trouble with a text cursor on a non-text background. How do I disable it?
Each time I click somewhere, a font cursor appears on a non-type-able background.

Firefox has a feature named Caret Browsing that lets you run the cursor through all the text on the page. You can use the F7 key to turn it on and off, or uncheck the first box here:
"3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced > General mini-tab > "Always use the cursor keys to navigate within pages"
