I have a 9/16 monitor and the screen is no longer filled left to right. I do not want FF to FILL THE SCREEN because that looses the tool bars.

Note that you can have the toolbars visible in full screen mode (press F11 to toggle) via the right-click context menu (Hide Toolbars) of the toolbars that appear if you hover to the top.

If you do not want to use full screen mode then you can maximize the window via the button in the top right corner.

These suggestions are for FULL SCREEN. What I am looking for is a way to fill the screen left to right and not loose the tool and tab bars.

When I rest FF to get the auto apply of UN & PW back that function was lost.

I found the zoom feature under the 3 bar symbol. I set that function to 150% for one web site. It also set that function for the FF Forum but not the rest of the sites I have in my tool bar. Is there a way to set it across the board?

It is best to use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot and make sure that you do not exceed a maximum file size of 1 MB.

Then use the Browse .... button below the Post a Reply text box to upload the screenshot.

You did a Reset and lost the minimize/maximize/close buttons in the upper right of the window?

You could try to display either the title bar or the classic menu bar to see whether that helps with the display:

"3-bar" menu button > Customize

At the bottom left is a button to show/hide the Title bar, and next to that you can use Show/Hide Toolbars to show the menu bar.

Any difference?

By the way, here are a couple of methods to maximize the current window that work in most Windows XP windows:

  • double-click the title bar (avoid the new tab button)
  • hold down Alt and press the space bar, then x

On your question about zoom, you can use an add-on to set a higher level by default. Here are two that have been around for quite a while:

After setting your Global zoom level, you can still fine-tune the zoom on individual sites using Firefox's standard zoom feature (keyboard shortcut or mouse wheel).

I do not have Windows Paint so I guess a screen shot is out.

Currently I have set the FF Forum page to 133% using the 3 bar function and expanding the site to that size. I would have thought that would have applied that function to ALL sites. If I expand a given site to that size it is not saved after I close the site.

I never had to individually adjust page sizes before.
