can not delete messages
I can not delete messages from the inbox or the junk box. I can not drag messages to the trash box. I have downloaded and reinstalled Thunderbird but still does not work. All other functions seem to work. It is possible to move messages from the inbox to the junk box but can not delete them from their.

Try to rebuild the index file for Inbox. Right-click Inbox - Properties - Repair Folder
Thanks for your help and suggestion. This fix did not work. I can now move messages to the junk folder then using right click, empty junk the messages are deleted. They do not go to the trash folder however. I guess this work around will work but its not the way it should be.
Do the same with the Junk folder. Then compact folders for the account.
I repaired every folder. I created a new folder called inbox 2 and moved all the inbox folders to it. I then deleted inbox and inbox msf. These were online suggestions. Nothing has worked. Thank you for your help but nothing seems to work.
