Is Droid 2 Global compatible or not?

Droid 2 Global is listed as compatible on the devices page listed in the Google Play description, but Google Play itself won't let me install because it is "incompatible with my device."

NB: I ran the most recent beta version just fine on this phone.

Hi,

I'm sorry you're having this problem with downloading, Droid 2 Global should work. I'll let release engineering know that you are having this problem, so they can dbl-check it. Let me know if you have success with installation this morning.

Thanks, Michelle

Hi there,

Please try again, this problem was fixed in the last hour, and might take a bit for the google play to update with the correct compatibility info.

Thanks, Michelle

Thanks Michelle. It is not working yet, but I will keep checking.

It's still not showing up as compatible... How long should it take to become listed as compatible?

Hi,

Thanks for replying, it shouldn't take that long, my apologies. I'll report this and find out why it is still not available.

In the meantime you can try the unstable version at http://nightly.mozilla.org if you like.

Best regards, Michelle

I too have this problem and I have both the non-beta and the 14 beta installed. The beta update downloaded with no problem. I wondered if the fact that I have both could be part of the problem?

I do like the improvements the beta offered and wouldn't mind getting rid of the other (or getting rid of the beta - if the improvements have now moved to the stable version) if that's what it takes.

@beachmarathoner - I have this problem and don't have any version of Firefox currently installed (though the beta worked previously). It seems to be an ongoing issue with the submitted app or its properties in the Play Store, and from what I've read online it is affecting other devices listed in the release notes as compatible as well.

Hopefully they will figure it out and fix it soon - would love to rock a good version of Firefox on my phone.

Just as additional information: I have a Droid 2 (not a Global), which is also listed as a supported device. However, when I search Google Play on the phone, Firefox doesn't show up. If search the Google Play website, I see a message saying my phone is incompatible.

Your phone should not be blocked.

@k3davis - Thanks for your added info, and so much for my theory. The beta version is great for me - much faster than the former release version and syncs very smoothly with my desktop. Guess we'll just have to wait them out.

It finally let me install this morning. I don't knowif this is related, but as of 6AM EST it would not install, at 7AM I reboot my phone, after that it installed.
