Crash ID: bp-ea022b99-c677-435c-b518-7c8642150601

Having trouble with both Firefox and Thunderbird crashing seconds after startup. Tried refreshing, tried safe mode, tried a clean install, all to no avail.

Decided to abandon ship and return to Safari and Mail but I forgot how much both apps suck, so I'm having one last crack at trying to resolve this issue.

Any help you could offer would be much appreciated.

Hi, this is what is causing your crash - libFontParser.dylib It seems to be a font issue, as reported (and solved) on here and here. So I hope that the 'Chosen Solutions' may be of help to you.

Sorry to hear about the crashing. This report has the "signature"

For this signature, I only see 5 reports during the past week, all MacOS X 10.6.8. Looking back a few more weeks, there are another 20 reports, again all on 10.6.8. This specific crash seems quite rare.

If you click through and look at other reports, do they have the same signature?

I'm not very conversant with font issues on Mac, but I've cribbed this from an earlier thread:
