click email link to send an email doesn't work

I used to be able to email a link from Firefox or just click on an email address in a website. Firefox does bring up my email (Yahoo mail) but the email link is not in the body or if I clicked on an email the To: portion of the email is not populated. Please help, this was a very useful feature.

On more analysis I found that Gmail does not have this issue so I don't believe it to be a problem with Firefox. I'm working with Yahoo mail now to resolve. thanks anyway.
