Firefox works on install, but will not work if I close it and reopen. I now have this happening on a win 7 and a win xp computer. I hate using CHROME.
In Feb 2013 I bought a win 7 machine and had the issue of Firefox worked when installed. Close it and reopen and it does nothing but open the process and consume 1/2 the processor power. Never opens. I had to switch to Chrome (which I hate). Now my win XP desktop has the same issue. I created anther identity and loaded Firefox, same result. Forced to use Chrome. On the XP, did a restore to the week before and worked for one day. Back where I started. Does anyone have any ideas?

Hi, This seems odd that on the second launch that Firefox does not open and it measures to take half the process power. Does this also happen if you start the same installation in Safe Mode? This will tell you if it is an add on requiring too many resources on start up.
Also test this with extensions, if you disable all of them, does it also hang on start up? Firefox hangs or is not responding - How to fix will include start up hang troubleshooting.
Please post back with your results.
