when i click my shortcut button in task bar I get 2 tab trying to open. the first on the left is the FF search page and the second is my preferred home page WWW.MSN.COM. The same thing happens if i click the home button in the tool bar. i have tried deleting and reinstalling FF and get the same thing. this has only been happening for aprox 2-3 weeks

Check Settings > Home and startup.

If you select Custom you can have multiple pages open so check that for detail
